Oneing: The Cosmic Egg

Approximately thirty years ago Father Richard Rohr first encountered what he calls “The Cosmic Egg.” In his introduction, he describes this framework—my story, our story, other stories, and The Story—as “the general shape of all wholeness, mental and emotional health, and good philosophy and theology too.” 

From CAC Publishing, ONEING: The Cosmic Egg features works from Living School staff and alumni, including Paul Swanson, Brie Stoner, Felicia Murrell, Leslye Colvin, Michael Petrow, and emeritus core faculty member Cynthia Bourgeault. 

Each of these students of the path have spent significant time with Fr. Richard’s teaching on the Cosmic Egg and their varied contributions range from intellectually analytical to emotionally provocative.  

In this issue of ONEING, readers will discover a universal and inclusive framework for liberation from the stories that confine us. 

Established in 2013, ONEING is the biannual journal of the Center for Action and Contemplation. Renowned for its diverse and deep exploration of mysticism and culture, ONEING is grounded in Richard Rohr’s teachings and wisdom lineage. Each issue features a themed collection of thoughtfully curated essays and critical perspectives from spiritual teachers, activists, modern mystics, and prophets of all religions.
