Oneing: Transitions
DETAILS
Established in 2013, ONEING is the biannual journal of the Center for Action and Contemplation. Renowned for its diverse and deep exploration of mysticism and culture, ONEING is grounded in Richard Rohr’s teachings and wisdom lineage. Each issue features a themed collection of thoughtfully curated essays and critical perspectives from spiritual teachers, activists, modern mystics, and prophets of all religions.
Since its first issue in 2013, Oneing has featured an introductory reflection by Fr. Richard Rohr, who faithfully guided each biannual publication through Spring 2022. Now, as Fr. Richard steps back from many of his roles at CAC, it feels especially fitting to explore the theme of Transitions. This issue arrives at a time of profound shifts—not only within CAC, but globally, as we witness changes from peace to conflict, democratic principles to authoritarian leanings, and critical transformations in our ecosystems. These are just a few of the significant transitions humanity faces today.
This issue features contributions from Brian McLaren, Felicia Murrell, David Whyte, Richard Rohr, Cameron Trimble, Cathleen Falsani, Wesley Granbert-Michaelson, Eugene Taylor Sutton, Sheryl Fullerton, James P. Danaher, Sophfronia Scott, Paula D'Arcy, and Paul Swanson.
